Beryl.

History and Legend:

Beryl originates from Mesopotamia and was worshipped as a magic stone by the ancient Hebrews.
It was believe to strengthen the belief in God. The bible says it will one day take its place
in the walls of the new Jerusalem. But beryl also has other virtues: It is said to protect
marital feelings and love. And it will help its possessors reach high positions.

Four stones are considered to be in the Beryl family. They are:
Morganite
Heliodor
Goshenite
and the March birthstone: AQUAMARINE.

Legend has it that aquamarine originally came from a mermaids jewely box (Latin aqua maris meanssea water). It is said to bring pure love. By turning darker or lighter, the stone indicates what is true and false. When it becomes almost white, it is sad to warn against false friends.
